Why Doteasy is an Awesome Web Host

doteasy

As a beginning web designer, I wanted to show people what I could in the web design world, so naturally I built a website. I needed a place to host the website I just built if anyone was going to see it. I did some research, and found Doteasy, then I was hooked. Doteasy ggave me three reasons to think their awesome. Number one, the price. Two, its user friendliness towards newbie’s like me. And three, the online file management that lets me access all my files without my FTP client.

The reason I chose Doteasy in the first place was the price. Free hosting is pretty great if you ask me. 100mb doesn’t seem like a lot, but I have my whole website and slew of other miscellaneous file on Doteasy’s server and it only takes up about 25%, 100mb’s is plenty for me. I’m only fifteen, so money is hard to come by, but I really wanted my website up, Doteasy made this possible for me.

My second point is friendly Doteasy was to me when I first signed on. When I first got my Doteasy hosting space, I knew a lot about HTML and CSS, but did not know what the heck FTP was, and where all my files were supposed to be uploaded. Nothing on the internet really helped too much with FTP, it was all different parts of a whole explanation. Then I decided to check out Doteasy’s help center. It gave me a step by step guide on how to use FTP and what client to download, showed me where to get my password and FTP server name. It also told me where to upload my files. Doteasy made it quick and easy for me to get my website up, so I could show everyone the work I had done.

Third reason I love Doteasy is there easy to use file manager. After Doteasy showed me how to use FTP I was on the computer almost every second of every day changing my links and all the other things I had to do to get my website looking presentable. Unfortunately my mom saw me uploading files during school hours (I’m home schooled) and she grounded me from the computer…for a long time. I was devastated, here I had finally got a webhost for my website and because of my stupidity I couldn’t work on my new website. And my website was not nearly ready for public viewing (a coupled of the pages were not working yet) so I couldn’t tell anyone about it. It was going to be a long wait and I was to excited not to tell anyone. My mom said that I could go to the library to use their computers, but the library would not let me download an FTP client. I was further devastated. But then I went to my Doteasy account and to my joy there was a file manager where I could view and edit all my files. The file manager was very productive, it had a program that told me if my tags were closed or not, just like in an HTML editing program, which I did not have. I was able to get my website up and running from the library because of Doteasy’s thoughtfulness. Then I told everybody I knew and posted my link on Facebook.

In conclusion, Doteasy has helped me: one, get a website, two, told me how to get everything uploaded, and three saved me in a pinch when I was grounded. Doteasy has been a great help to me, and recommend this web hosting service to all my friends who need web space. If I start designing websites for people, Doteasy will be my first choice for those sites as well.
Thanks Doteasy!

Russia 1825-2010

The history of Russia is an intriguing and riveting story full of justice and injustice. This country was one of the most influential promoters of communism. Their form of government is why Russia’s story is one of justice and injustice. Communism was established because the previous government was unjust. But as time went on Communism became even worse than the previous system. This paper portrays the events that have happened in Russia from 1825 until now.

1825-Soldiers come back from defeating Napoleon. They revolted against the Monarchy. They were called the Decembrists.

1848-Carl Marx writes the Communist Manifesto.

1861-Alexander becomes Czar and wants to free the serfs.

1894-1917-Nicholas becomes Czar and disagrees with Alexander.

1898-During the time when Nicholas was Czar Lenin was leading the Bolsheviks

1905-Father Gapawn leads people to Czar palace and guards slaughtered hundreds of innocent people. Czar gives the October Manifesto, it promised a constitutional monarchy

1914-Nicholas still Czar. Russia enters World War I. Famine ensues, people enraged.

1917-Last year of Nicholas’s reign. Women in textile factories go on strike, the Duma (Russia’s “Congress”) was dissolved, and a new liberal democracy was formed. The Bolsheviks (Lenin’s Men) had other plans and took over Russia, they become the Soviets, 5 men in control of the communistic government. Lenin is the head.

1922-Soviet Union is fully formed. It included 4 countries; Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Transcaucasia. Stalin nationalized all industry. (government takeover)

1924-Lenin dies. You can still see his body today. Soviets encouraged the Liberation of Women, by promoting abortion and passing a law creating a no fault divorce.

1928-Stalin comes to power starts his 5 year plan. He kills wildly and sent people to the horrifying Gulag camps (the Gulags were intense labor camps). Many people died because of Stalin.

1939-World War II begins. Stalin helps Hitler invade Poland. Stalin also invaded Romania and other small countries.

1941-Hitler invades Russia and fails due to an intense Russian winter. If plans had not been delayed he very well may have succeeded in warmer weather.

1945-World War II ends. Harry Truman is angry at Stalin for breaking agreements. This is when the Cold War started.

1948-The Berlin Blockade begins Stalin surrounded Berlin and didn’t let any food in, he wanted them to ask him for food. The U.S. heroically airlifts food into Berlin, increasing the Cold War tension. Russia and U.S. were indirectly fighting by supplying weapons to other countries.

1953-Stalin dies NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is formed.

1955-The Warsaw Compact is written. It allied eastern countries. Russia wants control of Eastern Europe. They created the Iron Curtain, no one knew what was happening. Russia has control of other communistic countries. Vietnam War begins, indirectly U.S. and Russia giving men and supplies to North and South Vietnam.

1962-Khrushchev (the first secretary of the communist party. Which is part of the Soviet Union) placed missiles on a Cuban base initializing the Cuban missile crisis. U.S. and Russia relize a common goal of Nuclear Non-Proliferation.

1963-U.S. and Russia become friends

1979-SALT I and SALT II are signed. Gorbachev comes to power. Russia’s economy is failing and the Soviet Union falls.

1991-Boris Yeltson becomes president of Russia, new government begins, it is called the Russian Federation.

2010-New START Treaty is signed by President Obama of the United States and President Medvedev of Russia.

The new START’s (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) purpose is to reduce nuclear weapons, hence its name. As START Treaties prior to this one have worked, this one is not as effective and can be detrimental to American security. For instance, The treaty only limits ICBM’s (InterContinental Ballistic Missiles) which carry the warheads, but the treaty does not limit warheads. Also, the ICBM’s that are being limited are only newer ones, Russia has older rail based ICBM’s. Russia will be getting a major break when they will not have to reduce their ICBM’s and the U.S. does.
